DCSX approved on May 4, 2022, the technical listing of 24,900 ordinary shares of Athletes Image Rights Fund Inc (DCSX Symbol: AIRF-VG). The approved shares are divided as follows:
In 2020, the South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) generated a revenue of nearly 330 million U.S. dollars. This represents a decline of over 30 percent in relation to the previous year. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, several sporting events in South America were canceled or took place without an audience. On the other hand, the Worldwide Cup 2022 will increment the demand for the merchandising of numerous Latin American players, it will change their sponsor agreements and other businesses that create income for those players, and that are the investment objectives of Athletes Image Rights Fund Inc.
In terms of income, it is estimated that the Fund will generate sufficient revenue to create a net asset value increase per year for the investors of around the 10%; this is expected to continue for several years if no other unexpected worldwide events occur that would bring the international soccer world activities to a hold; especially due to the increment of the demand expected as mentioned above, and the massive adoption of intangible and non-fungible assets related to image rights of football players and their clubs, management rights, online events, and even online gaming. The fund will invest in the purchase and monetization of these rights and assets.
